The Austrian federal ministry's annual state grants (Staatsstipendien) recognise outstanding artistic achievement and fund a year of work on an extensive project marked by originality and innovation, in visual art, photography or media art.
Leistungen
20 grants of €18,000 each for 12 months from January 2027 (visual art 10, photography 5, media art 5), recognising outstanding work so far and supporting further work. Single parents and/or recipients of increased family allowance receive €200 a month more (€400 if both apply).
Voraussetzungen
Individual artists with Austrian citizenship or permanent residence in Austria who are working on an extensive artistic project in visual art, photography or media art.
