How CallOpen.art handles your data
Data We Collect
When you use CallOpen.art, we collect standard account data: via Google sign-in — email, name, profile picture; via a sign-in link — only your email address. If you build an artist profile, we store information regarding your chosen disciplines, interests, selected location, and any CV data you manually submit.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to provide you with personalized recommendations for open calls, exhibitions, and grants. The AI profile-matching relies on your stated goals to calculate a "match score" against available database opportunities. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We also use Vercel Analytics, Amplitude and Google Analytics to measure generalised platform usage (page views, interactions) and improve the interface. Visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies (Google Consent Mode); no advertising cookies are set. When you are signed in, Amplitude and Google Analytics also receive your account’s internal identifier — never your name or email — so that steps on the site and in Claude are counted together; some of these steps are sent from our servers. This measurement is aggregated and does not personally identify individuals where preventable.
Anti-Scraping & Data Privacy
We respect the intellectual property of artists. Any portfolio links or visual materials you provide to our platform are not used to train generative AI image models. We actively encourage artists to use tools like Glaze and Nightshade before making their artwork public, and we enforce strong anti-scraping policies on our platform.
Data Retention & Deletion
You have the full right to request deletion of your profile and associated data from our systems at any time. Simply contact us at ksumalurika@gmail.com, and your data will be permanently wiped within 7 working days.
Email Communications & Unsubscribing
We send a weekly digest, deadline reminders for opportunities you saved, curated digests you asked for, and occasional messages from the team. Every one of those emails contains an unsubscribe link that works without logging in, and we support the unsubscribe button built into your mail client. You can also switch each channel on and off separately in your profile settings. Essential account emails — the welcome message, a reply to a message you sent us, and login-related codes — are transactional and are delivered regardless of marketing preferences.
Abuse Prevention
Our contact and feedback forms are open without an account, so that anyone can reach us. To stop a single automated sender from flooding them, we store a one-way salted hash of the sender's IP address alongside the message — never the address itself, and never for signed-in users, who are counted by their account instead. The hash cannot be reversed into an address and is used for nothing but counting how many messages one sender submitted in the last day. It is erased 30 days after the message is received. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service available (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f), Recital 49).
Claude and Other AI Assistants
You can connect CallOpen to Claude or another AI assistant that supports MCP connectors. The assistant then asks CallOpen for what it needs — a search, a call, and, if you signed in through the connector, your profile and tracker — and CallOpen answers. When you ask, it can also save, change or remove calls in your tracker and correct your profile — the same changes you could make on the site, recorded in your account's activity like changes made there. Call Match opened in the assistant keeps the works you lay down there exactly as on the site: compressed copies, kept unsaved for a few days unless you save them to your portfolio. There the assistant itself reads the works and compares them with the calls, so copies of the works you choose (reduced to 1024 px) and your words about them are passed to it for that; what it concludes is stored with your comparison, as on the site. We never receive your conversation with the assistant. For each request we record which tool was used, when, how long it took, whether it worked and which app asked — not the text of your questions. Access tokens are stored only as hashes, last at most an hour and are renewed until you disconnect; disconnecting (Profile → Settings → Connected apps) ends access immediately. What the assistant receives from CallOpen is then processed by its provider under that provider's terms. Contact details of artists and organisers are never sent through the connector.
