CallOpen.art is a free catalogue of open calls for artists — grants, residencies, exhibitions, prizes and fellowships around the world. Every call is read on the organiser’s own page: who pays, what to send, the real deadline. For many, you can also see what happened last time.
Painters and composers, writers and choreographers, filmmakers, designers, curators and game developers: the catalogue knows 11 disciplines and the practices inside each, so a call is found by what you actually do.
Found
Our team and automated searches watch more than a hundred listings where calls appear, and go to each organiser’s own site — over 2,700 of them so far.
Read
Each call is read on the organiser’s own page — the rules, the fee, what the programme pays for, what to send — and its brief is kept in the organiser’s own words.
Made plain
Who pays — the artist or the organisation — is set out on the call, with the fee and the award, so you see the real cost and the real reward before you apply.
Kept current
Passed deadlines leave by themselves. When the organiser opens the next edition, the old call points to it, and the results join it once they are out.
The organiser’s words
Requirements are quoted as the organiser wrote them, with the page they come from — so you prepare exactly what the jury will ask for.
Who pays, first
The first thing we look for on every call is who pays and how much. The fee and who pays are shown to everyone, signed in or not.
Odds in the open
For past calls we record how many applied, how many were selected and who sat on the jury, right beside the calls — and after sign-in, who got in.
Machines, named
Where a language model does the work — reading a bio into a profile, drafting the texts of an application plan, Call Match — we say so. The fit score on every call is a plain formula, with its reasons.
Your work stays yours
Works you show Call Match are not used to train AI — not by us, not by Google. By default they are read only for that match; new files you do not save are deleted after seven days.

Ksenia Malurika
CallOpen.art is curated by Ksenia Malurika, its co-founder — an interdisciplinary artist and composer working with painting, sound and installation. Calls come in only after they have been read on the organiser’s own page.
