Question 1

Are these open calls still active?

Accepted Answer

Yes. These pages show only calls that are open now — anything past its deadline leaves automatically, every day.

Question 2

Do I need to pay to browse?

Accepted Answer

No. These public hubs are free to browse. Full catalog search, the tracker, calendar export, and application plans require a free sign-in — with Google or by a link sent to your email.

Question 3

How often is data updated?

Accepted Answer

Every day. Our team and automated searches watch more than a hundred listings and have read the own sites of over 2,700 organisers, adding new calls and keeping the ones here current.

Question 4

What should I do if I find an error in a listing?

Accepted Answer

Tell us through Feedback at the foot of any page — the team reads every message and corrects the listing.

Question 5

How does CallOpen.art help me apply?

Accepted Answer

Each call shows how well it matches your profile — practice, type, region and career stage — and why. For a call in your tracker CallOpen writes an application plan: it reads the organiser’s pages again, quotes every rule, turns everything that can disqualify you into checks, drafts your texts from your own facts within the call’s limits (a language model writes the drafts; every quote is checked against the organiser’s words) and sets the steps by day. The tracker reminds you of deadlines by email. Call Match (open by waitlist) reads your works — images, audio, texts, video frames, PDF pages — against the calls’ briefs and sorts them into apply, arguable and don’t, each with its reasons and quotes from the brief.
