FAQ

What counts as Animation here?

This includes programs that explicitly specify Animation as the main or one of the priority mediums, ranging from specialized contests to interdisciplinary open calls.

Are digital works or performance documentation accepted?

Yes, when they meet the call’s submission rules — each listing spells out the formats and sizes the organiser asks for.

Do residencies provide specialized equipment for Animation?

Specialised residencies often offer equipped studios, print presses, darkrooms, labs or technical help — listed with each programme’s facilities.

How do I demonstrate experience in Animation?

Send a coherent set of recent works — as many as the call asks for — with the concept, size and materials of each.

Are there material grants specifically for Animation?

Yes. Production grants often set aside a budget for materials and new work — each listing shows the award and what it covers.
