Selected films screen in curated programmes in Braziers' historic 17th-century barn during the three-day festival (27–29 August 2027). Selected filmmakers are invited to attend and take part in Q&As, with free house accommodation or camping and all meals for the festival, plus some limited travel expenses where the budget allows. There are no screening fees. The Glaister Award, voted by the audience and festival team, goes to a film that makes a positive contribution to social development.

Open to UK and international filmmakers, with films of every genre and any length — experimental, documentary, drama, comedy, expanded cinema, horror, sci-fi, animation, music and low-budget work — made in any year; no premiere status is required. The programme is mostly short films (under 30 minutes). All entries must be in English or carry English subtitles.
