Tampere Film Festival
Tampere Film Festival is an Oscar-, BAFTA- and EFA-qualifying short film festival accredited by FIAPF. Its 2026 competitions drew 8,127 films from 135 countries, of which 121 were selected. The International Competition takes all genres of short film up to 30 minutes.

Selected films compete in the International Competition of Tampere Film Festival, 10–14 March 2027. The jury awards a Grand Prix of €5,000 with the 'Kiss' trophy and three category prizes (fiction, animation, documentary) of €1,500 each, plus special mentions, a European Short Film Awards candidacy and an audience award. Grand Prix, best documentary and best fiction winners become eligible for Oscar® consideration. No screening fee is paid.

Open to animation, documentary, experimental and fiction short films under 30 minutes including credits, completed on 1 January 2025 or later. Premiere is not required. Screening copies and preview files must be in English or subtitled in English throughout. Completed productions only (working copies only if agreed in advance); each film can be submitted once.
