FAQ

What counts as AR / VR here?

This includes programs that explicitly specify AR / VR as the main or one of the priority mediums, ranging from specialized contests to interdisciplinary open calls.

Are digital works or performance documentation accepted?

Yes, when they meet the call’s submission rules — each listing spells out the formats and sizes the organiser asks for.

Do residencies provide specialized equipment for AR / VR?

Specialised residencies often offer equipped studios, print presses, darkrooms, labs or technical help — listed with each programme’s facilities.

How do I demonstrate experience in AR / VR?

Provide a cohesive portfolio of 5-10 recent works, with descriptions detailing the concept, dimensions, and materials used.

Are there material grants specifically for AR / VR?

Yes. Production grants often set aside a budget for materials and new work — each listing shows the award and what it covers.
