A converted fish factory on the edge of an East Iceland fjord, with a shared studio for eight artists and workshops for wood, metal, ceramics, print and photography, plus a concert hall, kitchen and small library. Residents have 24/7 access to the building and a private bedroom in a shared house in the village, five minutes' walk away. Bed linen, internet, a weekly shopping trip and airport transfer from Egilsstaðir are included. The residency is self-directed — no critique programme, no obligation to exhibit — but proposals for workshops, concerts or open studios are welcome.

Open to artists and creative practitioners of any discipline and nationality; musicians are directed to the centre's separate Music Residency. Applications go through the residency application form and are usually answered within a week. Periods run roughly month-long and consecutive periods can be combined into a longer stay.
