Now in its 44th year, 'A Sense of Place' is the annual national juried competition of the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art — Augusta's independent nonprofit visual-arts school and gallery in the historic 1818 Nicholas Ware mansion. Exhibition Sep 5 – Oct 10, 2026; opening reception Sep 4.
