The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) is the Québec government’s arts council; its grants for artists are assessed by peer juries, and its studio and residency network places Québec artists abroad in exchange with partner venues.
Beneficios
A two-month research residency between March and June 2027 in Guadeloupe with Textes en paroles, to write a play with professional dramaturgical support and regular exchanges on the text. Elegibilidad
Québec playwrights with more than two years of practice. Professional artists who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, ordinarily reside in Québec and have lived there for the past 12 months; Inuit and First Nations artists residing in Québec are eligible; groups are not eligible.
