The award supports the development of artistic practice, exploration of new perspectives, and experimentation in contexts where cultural expression is under pressure.

Emerging artists and cultural practitioners (1–5 years of professional practice) from eligible countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe. Work must engage with pressing social, political, or environmental issues.
