Sobre el programa: This opportunity demonstrates how educational institutions utilize murals to demarcate safe spaces and affirm specific cultural identities, demanding profound cultural resonance.
Qué ofrecía la convocatoria: Opportunity to create an indoor mural reflecting the Black American experience, focusing on education, empowerment, and cultural legacy within an institutional setting. Ensures narratives are authentically grounded in the lived realities of the immediate community.
Quién podía presentarse: Strictly restricted to current students, faculty, staff, and alumni of California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). This reflects a growing institutional preference for hyper-local sourcing in identity-driven public art.
