Residencies run from a fortnight to a full year, which makes it unusually flexible for a funded programme.

The professional programme is open to practising artists; residencies run from two weeks to a year, on a rolling application basis. The centre cannot process J-1 visas, so international artists need their own status. A separate student track is open to Wesley Theological Seminary students at $500 a semester, applied for a month before the semester begins. Applications need a CV, cover letter, artist statement and 15–20 works, and may be followed by an online interview.
