Prösitz Sculpture Symposium 2027 — Four-Week Residency for Artist Mothers, with Childcare, Saxony
Künstlergut Prösitz
Künstlergut Prösitz is an artists' house in rural Saxony near Grimma. Its annual symposium is a residency for women sculptors and installation artists who are mothers: they bring their children, who are looked after on site, so they can work, exchange with colleagues in the same situation and build a network. The jury is formed by the previous year's stipend holders and a curator.

A four-week working stay at the Saxon artists' house Künstlergut Prösitz, scheduled between May and October: large workshops (clay and metal shops, plaster room, a spacious attic studio, a barn and the courtyard for bigger outdoor work), a room with small bathroom for each artist and her child or children, and daytime childcare by a childminder on site. The stipend is €500; there is no charge for accommodation or childcare, and materials and organisational help are provided individually. A joint exhibition of all stipend holders follows, with a shared catalogue. The symposium, jury and exhibitions are curated by Christine D. Hölzig (Leipzig).

Professional women artists working in sculpture, installation and object art — experimental work within these fields is welcome — who are also mothers. Children up to 12 years old may come along. Selection is by a jury on the artistic quality of the submitted work.
