14th International Senefelder Award 2028 for Artistic Lithography — Prizes and an Exhibition in Offenbach am Main

Awarded since 1975 in honour of Alois Senefelder, the inventor of lithography, the Senefelder Award of the International Senefelder Foundation (ISS) is one of the best-known prizes for artistic printmaking. The 2028 edition, held with the support of the German artists' association BBK, recognises outstanding work in artistic lithography and its development in planographic printing.

Prize money of €2,000 in total for the first three places and, above all, an exhibition of the prize-winners' works in Offenbach am Main — and at other venues if suitable partners are found. Prizes are presented at a public ceremony in Offenbach, expected in summer 2028. Nominated works join the ISS collection of lithographs, held at the city's Haus der Stadtgeschichte.

Open internationally. One original print (single- or multi-colour) in lithography on stone, planographic drawing on metal offset plate or film, or mixed printing that develops these or other experimental forms of planographic printing. Hand press or motor-driven press; photomechanical or halftone reproductions and digital prints are not permitted. The work must not have been made before 2023, submitted unframed, maximum 100 × 70 cm, with a short description of the technique.
