VIA Art Fund
VIA Art Fund, based in New York, funds the production of ambitious new visual art in the public realm around three values: artistic production, thought leadership and public engagement. It accepts letters of inquiry twice a year; when possible, funded works are gifted to a US-based cultural organisation.

Grants of $25,000 to $100,000 per project for production, with the upper levels reserved for permanent installations or works gifted to a U.S. public collection. Invited applicants submit a full application by 25 January 2027; finalists present at VIA's semi-annual Partners Meeting, where Partners vote on the awards (notification April 2027). Projects must start after 15 June 2027.

Artists, nonprofit organizations and cultural institutions in contemporary art, in the US and internationally, may apply for newly commissioned visual art shown outside museum or gallery walls, in the public realm or in non-traditional venues. A confirmed artist and a confirmed exhibition venue (with a letter of support) are required at the LOI stage. If the project is in the US the artist may be based anywhere; if the venue is outside the US the artist must be US-based. Organisations must prove nonprofit status. Not funded: museum or gallery exhibitions, curatorial projects, residencies, performing arts or youth education. Previous grantees wait three years to reapply.
