Prisma Estúdio is a volunteer-run non-profit association in Martim Moniz, the most mixed quarter of central Lisbon, which has been working with artists since 2019 — exhibitions, salons, workshops, poetry slams and craft fairs, built around a membership that keeps coming back. Residents get a private room in a shared flat with a view of the castle, a place in the 70 m² ground-floor studio shared with the weekly programme of events, weekly group sessions with the other residents, and free or reduced access to everything the association puts on. In the last week of each month residents take over the space on their own terms — a showcase, a talk, a workshop, an open studio or a performance. The association also writes invitation letters for mobility funding.

Aimed at emerging artists from any creative background; up to seven residents are in the house at a time, staying one to three months, longer on request. Applications are a single PDF with a motivation letter of up to 500 words and a portfolio of five to ten images, read by a committee of artists, curators, community members and board members.
