1st Prize €10,000, 2nd Prize €4,000, 3rd Prize a €1,500 voucher for photographic equipment; a separate Portuguese Emerging Photography Award (€1,500 voucher) and up to two Special Mentions. Finalists and distinguished authors are included in the official exhibition (July 2027) and publication; the top three receive three copies of the catalogue.

The competition is open to all, without restriction as to nationality. Entries may be submitted individually or collectively; each participant may submit only one project. Submitted images must not have previously received an award in another competition. The Portuguese Emerging Photography Award is restricted to Portuguese participants. Images generated wholly or partly using generative artificial intelligence are not permitted.
