publicSeo.openCall.benefits
Three studios, each for two years from 2027, on the first floor of the Dortmund Kreishandwerkerschaft grounds with shared kitchen and bathroom, Wi-Fi and daylight: two single studios of 20.19 m2 and 25.48 m2, and a shared studio of 60.56 m2 for a duo or collective of up to four. The scholars help design and show two group exhibitions a year in the building and may sell their work there. Offered jointly by the Dortmund Kreishandwerkerschaft Hagen Lünen and the city's Kulturbüro, for the first time in 2027. A specialist jury decides together with both partners.
publicSeo.openCall.eligibility
Visual artists who completed a degree in a fine-art discipline within the last two years and aim at a professional practice; individuals, duos and collectives of up to four people may apply. Excluded: applications centred on media art or other purely digital disciplines. The centre of life and work must be the Dortmund area, at the latest from the start of the scholarship. Obligations: take part in and co-plan two group exhibitions at the Kreishandwerkerschaft (one mid-way, one at the end), and make one work free of charge for the Kreishandwerkerschaft after agreement on its content.
