The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) organises the biennial Hong Kong Arts Development Awards, now in their 20th edition, recognise practitioners and organisations across the local arts scene.

One Award for Young Artist per art form across nine disciplines: arts criticism, dance, drama, film, media arts, literary arts, music, visual arts and xiqu (Chinese opera), recognising, supporting and encouraging young and emerging practitioners; each awardee receives HK$50,000 for creative work, arts projects or further studies, with a brief report to HKADC on its use within a year. Assessment February–April 2027.

Young and emerging arts practitioners or artist collectives in Hong Kong, aged 40 or below on the date applications close, in one of nine disciplines: arts criticism, dance, drama, film, media arts, literary arts, music, visual arts and xiqu (Chinese opera). Individual artists, collectives, groups, schools and institutions can take part in the Awards.
