€15,000 in total, covering fees, allowance, accommodation and travel. The resident works with the Digital Health Unit, the EU Policy Lab and the Centre for Advanced Studies, with a possible visit to Brussels. A closing presentation can itself be a work. Any artwork commission after the residency would have to be confirmed and separately funded; the call says a production budget cannot be promised.
publicSeo.openCall.eligibility
Artists and speculative thinkers working across the arts, science and humanities may apply. Applicants of any artistic discipline and any nationality are eligible, provided they are legally able to work in the EU. Lived experience of depression whether through direct personal experience of a mental health condition or through caregiving and living close to depression is a mandatory requirement. The working language is English. At least 20 days must be spent in Ispra, not necessarily consecutive; the rest of the six months can be done from anywhere.
