Funding for artistic growth, development, production and dissemination for artists who have historically faced barriers to funding: Create — up to CA$15,000 to develop or create new work; Present — up to CA$12,000 for public presentation of your own work; Professional Development — up to CA$12,000 for formal study, mentorship, workshops, apprenticeships and conferences; plus Special Travel grants up to CA$1,000 for recommended artists. Applicants remain eligible for other Arts Nova Scotia programmes.

Professional artists, duos, ad-hoc groups (majority in Nova Scotia), professional arts organisations and non-profits employing professional artists, from designated communities: Indigenous (Mi’kmaq and other First Nations, Métis, Inuit), African Nova Scotian, Black, racialized people of Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern or mixed descent, Deaf or hard-of-hearing artists, artists with disabilities, and artists with mental illness or mad-identifying. Canadian citizens or landed immigrants resident in Nova Scotia for at least 12 months; a confidential self-identification form is required.
