Through IASPIS, its international programme for visual and applied artists, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee sends Sweden-based artists to the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn — New York's most extensive international residency programme for visual art, founded in 1994, with critic visits, study trips and open studios.

A three-month stay with a studio of about 25 m² at ISCP and a furnished two-room flat on Hudson Street in Manhattan rented by IASPIS, plus a tax-free grant of SEK 90,000 for travel, living and some material costs. Four three-month stays are announced per year.

Professional artists in the visual arts or design — for example visual art, photography, design, crafts, illustration, textile art or architecture — who earn a living entirely or partly from their art and regularly present it. You must be a resident in Sweden or practice most of your art here; foreign citizens may apply on the same terms. You must not be a student for more than 50 per cent when the decision is made, and must have no debts with the Swedish Enforcement Authority or de minimis aid above €300,000 in three years. A duo or group submits one application naming the other artists and shares the grant.
