publicSeo.openCall.benefits
A working grant to pursue and deepen one's artistic practice. The committee decides the period: mostly one-year grants of SEK 100,000 (tax-exempt), also two-year (SEK 100,000/year, tax-exempt) and five-year grants, and ten-year long-term grants for major artists, both at three price base amounts a year (currently SEK 171,900, taxable). Several ten-year grants will be awarded across all art forms in 2027. No report required.
publicSeo.openCall.eligibility
Professional artists in dance and circus — dancers, choreographers, circus artists, directors or choreographers — who earn a living entirely or partly from their art and regularly present it to an audience. You must be a resident in Sweden or practice most of your art here; foreign citizens may apply on the same terms. You must not be a student for more than 50 per cent when the decision is made, and must have no debts with the Swedish Enforcement Authority or de minimis aid above €300,000 in three years. Only individuals can apply. Artists employed in the dance, music or theatre alliances are not prioritised, and tax-exempt working grants cannot be held more than two years in a row.
