The application form offers approximately 1,800 sq. ft. of gallery space for six weeks, with 24/7 access, at Winter Street Studios. Honorarium $3,600.00 (inclusive of project costs and artist fees); 75% is paid eight weeks before the gallery period and the rest when the residency is complete. The same form also says the first stipend payment is provided 60 days before the residency period begins. A separate creative services stipend (amount TBD) is paid by Fresh Arts to vendors on invoice. Mentorship, staff consultation, a marketing package, documentation of one event, use of furniture, projectors, a screen and tools, and one year of Fresh Arts membership. Emerging or mid-career curators, creatives, artist teams or collectives of all disciplines (visual art of any kind, dance, performance, literary, or multi-disciplinary). Must live within the Greater Houston metro area (within 50 miles). Individual artists or collaborative teams. Must be based in the Greater Houston area. May not be currently enrolled in an art-related degree program. ALL artists participating in proposed activities must meet above eligibility requirements.
