Germany's federal government, through Gebäudemanagement Schleswig-Holstein, runs an open two-phase Kunst am Bau competition for the foyer of the new building of the Bundeswehr's Central Medical Service Institute in Kronshagen near Kiel.

Up to €250,000 including VAT for fees, direction, materials, production and all ancillary costs of a site-specific work for the airspace of the foyer of the new laboratory building 13A (works can hang from the ceiling edges of the 1st and 2nd floors; the roof-plant walls can be painted). Up to 10 concepts go to phase 2, each paid €4,000 including VAT; a prize sum of €14,000 including VAT. Jury includes Stefanie Böttcher (Kunsthalle zu Kiel) and Bettina Steinbrügge (Mudam Luxembourg).

Professional visual artists and artist groups (natural persons; legal entities not eligible), proven by an art academy degree and/or a short CV with project and exhibition list and/or membership of a professional artists' association. Admission area: the European Economic Area. The competition language is German: all documents are in German and must be submitted in German. Anonymous procedure.
