The John Glover Art Prize, awarded annually by the John Glover Society, is one of Australia’s most significant awards for landscape painting and is given for the best contemporary landscape painting of Tasmania.

42 finalists are exhibited at the Falls Park Pavilion, Evandale, Tasmania (6–14 March 2027). The acquisitive Glover Prize is AUD 80,000 plus a bronze maquette valued at AUD 5,000; the People’s Choice Award is AUD 3,000, the Children’s Choice and Hangers’ Choice Awards AUD 500 each. Some works may join a further exhibition at the Henry Jones Art Hotel in Hobart.

Entry is open to artists from anywhere in the world. The work must be a titled landscape painting of Tasmania, which does not have to have been painted in Tasmania; landscape is understood broadly (seascapes and cityscapes are acceptable).
