Haba ArtLab is a 350 m² space in Barcelona split between a 180 m² exhibition area with video projection, a 50 m² shared working space, a meeting room and areas for framing, packing and art storage. Two formats are offered: a one-month full programme, usually thematic and curatorially driven, which ends in a group exhibition; and a self-directed residency with open studio, for as long as the artist needs. Both come with technical and curatorial assistance, portfolio reviews and studio visits by local advisors, private welcome and farewell events with the gallery's associates, the chance to give public presentations and workshops, Spanish–English translation support and day-to-day help during the stay. The space runs monthly events and collective projects with a network of local artists and art spaces.

Open to all disciplines, to individual artists and to groups; applicants must be over eighteen and able to present a dossier. Up to eight local and international artists are selected. Accommodation is not provided, though the team helps find it, and invitation letters are issued for external funding once an artist is accepted. Applications go by email with CV, passport copy, portfolio and project proposal.
