Sculpture Space, founded in 1976 in Utica, New York, is a residency dedicated to sculptors that has supported over 700 artists from around the world.

A two-month residency between February and November 2028 for up to six artists per cohort (up to 24 a year): free housing one block from the studio, 24-hour access to a private studio within a 5,500 sq ft shared sculpture studio with specialised equipment, tools and basic supplies, technical help from the Studio Manager, informal studio visits by curators and writers, and a $1,000 stipend — about $7,000 of support per artist. Site-specific projects engaging the Utica community are welcome; residents donate an agreed work to the annual CHAIRity auction.

Artists from anywhere whose focus is sculpture, with basic English communication skills; selection by a blind panel of local and guest jurors on up to twelve recent works and a project description.
