workspacebrussels supports research, experimentation and creation in the performing arts in Brussels, running studio residencies with its structural partners as well as embedded residencies in healthcare (with KAOS), in public space (with Cultureghem) and at Decoratelier. Studio residencies are selected twice a year; the next round after this one closes on 1 April 2027 for January–July 2028.

A residency of 1–2 weeks (sometimes several per project) in studios of workspacebrussels' partners Kaaitheater, Rosas, Les Brigittines and Ultima Vez between August and December 2027. Each selected project receives a flat fee of €750 (VAT included) for travel and lunch; artists and team members based abroad can stay in the guesthouse (two bedrooms with two single beds, baby cot available) depending on availability. Basic technical equipment can be provided in some studios; residents may share their work with the team or in a (semi)public try-out, join a Tuesday communal lunch and use the library. About 15 projects are selected per round by the team and an external jury.

Belgian and international artists working in the performing arts in the broad sense — dance, performance, theatre and crossovers with other disciplines — for research, experimentation or creation. Projects aimed only at children, or operating only in circus, visual arts or music, are outside this call. Applications in Dutch, French or English.
