The Bronx Museum of the Arts
Founded in 1980 as the Artist in Marketplace program, AIM is The Bronx Museum's flagship career accelerator for rising New York City artists; the 2027 edition is its 47th cycle. A jury of artists and arts professionals picks 14 fellows from hundreds of applications.

Fourteen artists join a nine-month practicum at The Bronx Museum (February–June and September–December 2027, Tuesdays 6–9 pm) led by faculty covering the art market, artist statements, financial literacy, legal issues, funding, curator relationships, studio visits and portfolio reviews. The cohort organises the annual AIM Convening, and alumni are shown in the museum's AIM Biennial with an illustrated catalogue. It is not a studio program.

Visual artists aged 21 or older who are NYC residents at the time of application and throughout the program, with 2–10 years of actively creating and presenting new work and not yet widely recognised. Individual applications only — no partnerships or collectives. Not open to artists represented by a commercial gallery, anyone enrolled in a degree-granting or professional development program during the Fellowship, or Bronx Museum staff and board relations. Enrollment is limited to U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.
