Fond for lyd og bilde supports music recordings by creators, performers and producers living in the EEA, as compensation to rights-holders whose works are copied for private use.

Project grants for producing and disseminating sound recordings of high quality across genres. An expert committee appointed by the board recommends and the board decides, aiming at geographic and genre spread and fair pay for participants.

Creators, performing artists and producers, or their representatives; applicants must live and mainly work in the EEA. Both private persons and businesses can apply. Applicants with annual public operating support over NOK 1,000,000 are excluded. Projects are normally not fully financed, except clearly limited parts such as text production or composition.
