Green Olive Arts is an international art studio on the second floor of a building two minutes from the ancient medina of Tetouan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on Morocco's Mediterranean coast. Residents choose a shared or private studio and get secure internet, a computer with printer and scanner, a wood shop, a printmaking studio, a range of artist furniture and equipment, and — the part that makes the location count — introductions to local craftsmen, materials suppliers, artists and gatekeepers. Local volunteer assistants and in-studio consulting from the founding artists are part of the programme, along with weekly artist lunches and a concluding exhibition and open studios with promotion. Concierge support covers research, production, translation and networking.

Open to artists of all disciplines, internationally. Seasons run three or six weeks and applications are accepted year-round; completed applications include a video interview and are assessed by a local selection panel. Up to eight artists are in residence each season, in shared studios of two to three artists or private ones. Housing, travel, meals and materials are the artist's own responsibility, though staff supply a list of trusted partner housing within a short walk.
