«Reaching the Limits» is a composer residency with the PATSIAOURA ensemble in Larnaka, Cyprus. Each selected composer writes for the ensemble, works with it through the rehearsal period and presents the piece in a recorded concert.
Benefits
A week-long residency in Cyprus with accommodation in a private en-suite room, daily rehearsals with the PATSIAOURA ensemble, personal coaching by composer and conductor Andys Skordis, one or more performances of the new work, and a professional audio and video recording of the live performance.
Eligibility
International composers born on or after 1997, of all nationalities and genders. A new 7–10 minute work written specifically for the residency, for flute, clarinet/bass clarinet and percussion; no previous compositions are accepted.
