Hordaland Kunstsenter, founded in 1976 as the first artist-run art centre in Norway, supports practices from exhibition-making and performance to sound, publishing, moving image, socially engaged and research-based work; the residency is funded by the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture.

A two-month residency in Bergen (spring 2027, fall 2027, winter 2027 or spring 2028) with a stipend of NOK 30,000, a furnished apartment near the art centre, up to €500 travel support, a desk and working space, access to the project room and connections to studios and production networks in Bergen. The resident gives a public presentation during the stay.

Artists based in the Nordic Region (Sápmi, Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Sweden, Åland) or the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) with a permanent address there; citizenship is not required. Not open to artists based in Norway, full-time students or artists enrolled in an artistic PhD.
