R.E.D. — Hera Gallery 5th International Virtual Exhibition 2027

R.E.D. — red lines, red tape, red hats, red flags — is the theme of the fifth annual international open call of Hera Gallery, one of the first women's art cooperatives in the United States (founded 1974 in Wakefield, Rhode Island). The juror looks for works on the range of symbols and emotions red carries, in conversation with the current political and cultural moment.

52 works are selected for Hera Gallery's 5th annual international virtual exhibition, shown on heragallery.org for the whole of 2027. Each week one featured artist and their work is posted on all of Hera's social media accounts; a virtual artist talk is planned for June 2027. Hera takes no commission: 100% of sales go to the artist. Juror: Sonja Czekalski, artist, curator and Assistant Professor of Art at Central Connecticut State University.

Open to international artists working in all media — 2D, 3D and video. Since this is a virtual exhibition, high-quality images of the work must be submitted; poor images are not reviewed.
