The Kulturreferat (Department of Arts and Culture) of the City of Munich funds artists and free groups through competitions, grants and residencies; Public Art München is its programme for temporary art in public space.

Project funding for all art forms and analogue or digital event formats that engage artistically with current (queer-)feminist questions from diverse perspectives, including projects around International Women’s Day on 8 March. Proposals that strengthen networks and are realised with other initiatives, associations or institutions are especially welcome; a strategy to reach diverse audiences is a selection criterion. Online advice sessions in German and English on 21 October 2026 and 24 February 2027.

Applicants living or working in Munich (S-Bahn area) with significant FLINTA* participation, for projects in 2027 that engage artistically with current (queer-)feminist questions and set positive, empowering impulses; the Kulturreferat’s general funding criteria apply.
