In-person residency (one artist, two months, May–June 2027): a studio at the University of Alberta, access to the project's labs, researchers, libraries and art and design facilities, student research assistance, and CA$12,000 in total covering artist fee, materials, travel, accommodation and production. Virtual residency (one artist, flexible dates February–December 2027): virtual lab tours and studio visits, student research assistance and CA$8,000 in total including materials and production. Works made are shown at the SUPPORT festival in Edmonton in May 2028 (ready by January 2028).

Two visual artists or artist-researchers of all abilities, national or international, with no restrictions on nationality, geography, age, gender, sexuality, religion or disability; collectives and student artists may apply. Relevant creative experience in visual arts, fashion-based work or performance is expected; the project is particularly interested in people with lived or professional experience of disability, chronic illness, muscle weakness, ageing, caregiving, rehabilitation, mobility devices or assistive technology.
