The selected curator receives C$6,000 and works with the Art Bank team and an advisory committee on an exhibition celebrating the Canada Council's 70th anniversary in the 3,000 sq ft Âjagemô Exhibition Space at 150 Elgin Street, Ottawa, from September 2027 to May 2028. The C$50,000 exhibition budget (managed by the Art Bank) covers the curator fee, minimal travel, artist exhibition and reproduction fees, restoration/framing, fabrication and installation; didactics and promotion are covered separately.

Established curators who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or students with a valid study permit, proposing a multidisciplinary exhibition (art forms beyond visual art are required) drawn mainly from the Canada Council Art Bank collection of 17,000+ works, with a small number of outside loans possible. Content must suit all ages; materials are bilingual (the Council provides writing, editing and translation); the curator may work in English, French or both.
