Past jurors include Ron English, Swoon, Camille Rose Garcia and Beth Cavener.

Surreal Salon 19, 2 – 24 January 2027, presented with the LSU School of Art: over five dozen works hand-picked by Special Guest Juror Lauren YS, a Los Angeles-based artist known for high-chroma murals and paintings. Cash prizes: Best in Show $1,000, second $600, third $400; the Best in Show artist is profiled in an editorial by Beautiful Bizarre Magazine. The exhibition closes with the costumed Surreal Salon Soirée on 23 January 2027.

All artists over the age of 18, regardless of geographic location. Works in the pop-surrealist / lowbrow vein — painting, photography, ceramics, textiles, mixed media and more; works must be physical, tangible and nonperishable, and 2D work ready to hang. Blind jurying on conceptual and aesthetic quality, feasibility of display and overall merit. The gallery may disqualify erotic or pornographic material, explicit sexual behaviour or violence, or content that is obscene or hateful.
