Arts Council Norway's main project grant for artists, curators and producers who want to produce and show contemporary art in Norway. The expert committee for visual art weighs artistic content, project quality and relevance, aiming for diversity of practices, activity across the country and art for children and young people.

Project funding for producing and presenting contemporary art — for example producing artworks and exhibitions (attach the exhibition or letter-of-intent agreement), other showings of contemporary art, and presenting it through workshops, conferences and seminars. Not for working grants, permanent public art, publications, projects taking place only abroad, residencies or travel. Assessed by the Arts Council's expert committee for visual art; next deadline after this one: 8 April 2027.

Individual artists or other individuals working in the visual art field, members of an artist group, curators and producers; private persons, sole proprietorships and businesses may apply. Not for applicants acting on behalf of exhibition venues, institutions, festivals or other organisers (they have their own scheme). Arts Council Norway does not give full financing: the budget must include other sources of income besides the amount requested.
