The programme
- About the programme
- This grant is a highly effective, targeted model of national soft-power export, specifically designed to support the international presentation of Finnish contemporary art.
- What the call offered
- Covers installation expenses, travel, accommodation, transport, and insurance of artworks. This actively subsidizes the financial risk for foreign institutions seeking to present Finnish practitioners, specifically targeting heavy logistical costs inherent to exhibiting spatial and installation-based practices globally.
- Who could apply
- Open to Finnish or foreign organizations, including biennales, museums, and galleries, that are presenting Finnish art abroad. The grant specifically targets the prohibitive costs associated with installation art, requiring applicants to demonstrate a clear plan for international presentation. It does not cover artist fees or per diems.
