Selected images accompany poems, essays and letters in Dear Fear, a collection of messages from people in eating-disorder recovery, expected to be published in February 2027 by the nonprofit publisher Sheila-Na-Gig. Submission and feedback fees go to paying contributors.

Writers and artists at all stages of their careers, anywhere. Visual artists working in 2D — photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, digital/new media and mixed media — may submit up to five images on eating-disorder recovery, fear foods, compassion, community or bodily autonomy; food need not be depicted literally. New and previously published work welcome. No AI-generated material; no video, music or streaming works. Submissions from LGBT+, BIPOC and disabled communities, and from men, are particularly encouraged; accommodations are offered for justice-involved or unhoused artists.
