Public Art Learning Fund 2027 — NEFA ($500–$3,000 Professional Development Grants for New England Public Artists)

Grants of $500 to $3,000, paid in full at the start of the grant year, for professional development such as a conference, workshop, training or discussion that builds creative or administrative public art skills; travel beyond commuting distance is an eligible expense. Office hours for applicants. Grants are taxable income (IRS form 1099).

Artists who reside full-time and make work in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont, whose practice engages the public realm or who are expanding towards public artmaking, with an active CreativeGround profile. The learning opportunity must strengthen the applicant's own public art practice and take place in 2027 (anywhere, including outside New England). Not eligible: funding to develop or implement a specific public art project; current grantees or those with an outstanding PALF report; past grantees within a calendar year of their approved report.
