basis e.V. is a production and exhibition platform in Frankfurt am Main that runs the Hessian Artists' Programme (HAP). HAP hessenweit subsidises studio rents for artists, collectives and studio communities in the rest of Hesse, alongside the HAP Studio Programme in Frankfurt.
Benefits
A subsidy towards the cost of working space for two years (1 March 2027 – 28 February 2029): individual artists receive a grant of up to €150 per month; studio communities receive an amount based on the number of artists in the group. Mainly for artists, collectives and studio communities who live and work in Hesse outside Frankfurt am Main, especially in northern and eastern Hesse (rural studios as well as studios in cities such as Offenbach, Kassel, Giessen or Fulda).
