A six-month residency (1 April – 30 September 2027) in a residential home on the Maria-Lenssen-Areal in Mönchengladbach-Rheydt: free flat and studio including electricity, heating and internet (not barrier-free), a monthly living allowance of €1,500 gross, €5,000 gross for materials and project costs per tandem, close professional, organisational and content support from the Montag Stiftung Kunst und Gesellschaft and the city's Kulturbüro, binding artistic mentoring, and help with communication and building a network. Two people are supported each year; together with residents they develop, realise and present an artistic project.

Artists of all disciplines working participatorily, as individuals or tandems (interdisciplinary tandems welcome), living in Germany, with no age limit. A completed degree and/or professional experience in art, culture, design, cultural education or art mediation is required; applicants may not be enrolled at a university or take part in another programme at the same time. Residence on site is required, as is willingness to work in a team, take part in the practice mentoring and work in public space with residents, local actors and initiatives.
