The Democracy Foundation, based in Kuldīga, Latvia, runs the Democracy Residency “European Dream” as part of Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027, funded by Latvian municipalities and the Ministry of Culture.
Benefits
Six residents spend three weeks (3–23 August 2027) in Kuldīga developing activities — a game, workshop, performance or new format for conversation and participation — that make democracy tangible, for the Kuldīga Democracy Festival on 20–21 August 2027, with local people involved in the process.… Read more

Residents of European countries (not limited to EU Member States) from a wide range of fields — artists, civic activists, researchers, journalists, educators, designers, architects and others.
