Project grants of €25,000 to €50,000 for time-limited participatory projects in current, non-commercial music that put the process of making music — experiment, the unfinished, shared experience — at the centre and reach people with little contact with experimental music: musical interventions in public space, participatory and inclusive projects, workshop and encounter formats, cooperations with civil-society initiatives. Projects can run up to two years; eligible costs include artist fees (min. €300 per concert), staff, production, travel and management; social and artistic sustainability must be shown.

Professional music makers of outstanding artistic quality (including DIY scenes) with residence or seat in Germany; international cooperations welcome but projects must be realised mainly in Germany with a clear link to its music life. Students are generally excluded; pure amateur projects are not eligible (amateurs may take part).
