La Nave sits on wooded grounds in Escobar, an hour north of Buenos Aires, around the 200 m² studio and house of the painter Andrés Waissman, run together with the gallerist Gachi Prieto. Residents live in the guest house — a private or shared room with kitchen, organic garden, patio, pool and utilities included — and work for three to four weeks with the guidance of Waissman and his team. The programme takes only a few people at a time, so the parallel activities are built around them: studio visits, encounters with artists and cultural managers, exhibitions in the city, and a public moment at the end to show the process or its results.

Three tracks, each with its own audience: artistic production for artists of any discipline; research for artists, curators, critics, researchers and writers working on the contemporary scene of Buenos Aires; and cultural management for professionals developing, coordinating and mediating cultural projects. Applications are international and go through the residency's form.
